A Retirement Message from the PCES Director, Diane Massa:
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from Porter County Education Services. Someone wise, I don’t know whom, said that “when the time is right, you will know.” For me, the time is right.
I began my career with PCES as a classroom teacher in 1975 and, over the next 45 years, embarked on a journey to serve students with disabilities as a supervisor, district director, assistant director and, finally, director. Many challenges were faced during those years and many of those challenges overcome. I hope I have been able to contribute to the lives of students in Porter County in a positive way.
I have enjoyed working with the PCES Board, the PCES administrators and staff, and the community—all of whom are fiercely and unwaveringly dedicated to the students we serve. I am confident that each of you will carry on the tradition of excellence for which PCES is known and for which PCES will always strive.
It has truly been an honor.
